Hi Sandra,

They are like most free services on the internet. For the average person that is new who has not done their homework yet. Safelists are not going to work because they make a few posts and get no response then they drop off and the list gets a bad rap as one that does not work.

Safelist advertising can be very profitable if done right. It takes time and effort because you must build credibility first. I would suggest if safelist advertising is what you would like to master. Buy some books that tell you how its done and study them first. There are some free ones on the internet also but check a few different sources first. It takes work and time to profit from safelists. I have been using them for 2 years now and I am starting to get some results but I am learning more and more all the time about it.

One of the big problems with the Internet and Home Business is the get rich quick or the win the lotto idea is not real. There is very big money to be made on the Internet but you will get none of it without working for it.
Most people thing there is a magic bullet and there is not. A plan and an amount of effort and time and don't give up. You have to learn some new things first. I expect this is how it has always been.

My opportunity will make an income for a person that does nothing in 20 months. I don't think the average person can sit back and wait that long to build an income. So the idea is to develop a business plan to work the business first and stick to your plan what ever it may be. This is the first step with saftlists or and kind of advertising.

Best regards to your success in 2008,
Dave

Dave, You are so right. It takes time and effort to succeed in making money on the Internet with online businesses. One cannot just sit back and expect money to flow into your bank account.
As regards safelists, most are not very successful but there are some that are. I have two that I find work very well for me. But they are not "free" ones. It seems that, as with everything, you get what you pay for.

Hi Sandra,
NO not for me. People work, safelist don't. Hardest thing to do is to get someone’s attention. If you can get their attention and your program can help people earn some extra income. That's a good starting point. If your program is get rich quick, most people won't believe it. If your program is to good to be true I think most people won't believe it. If your program makes sense to them, is something they like and easy to understand. Maybe something they do now or have done before only now they can save and make some money. Have a huge market and a consumable product so once you use it you need to buy it again. Do safelist work, I think not but if you can get someone’s attention from a safelist you better have something quick and easy for them to understand or they are gone.
Hope that helps,
Joe

You might as well just get FFA leads and email them! Total waste of time! I prefer good advertising and the KEY is to call people, not just email them. If you like talking on the phone, this will be the answer to having people get involved with YOU, not necessarily the company!

I've experimented with safelists extensively in the past, and I don't consider them to be worth the effort myself. I prefer to relate to people 1on 1 these days when possible. I still belong to one safelist, because a friend of mine owns it. -D

Safelists used to be the best advertising on the net, but no one reads the messages anymore, they just blast their ads over and over with no consideration for fellow list members.

Most safelist do not work. However, I am getting results from the top 3 safelist from the Safelist Report.
Would you like to join them for free?

sometimes because they make you aware of what needs to be done instead of ignoring it.

HI Sandra,

What an interesting topic. I have belonged to several safelist for a couple of months now a I do not think I have received one single signup for them. The lady who I joined the safelist under own quiet a few and many blasters. Of course, the owners are going to tell you they work. They do work in so much as getting signups for the safelist and you do get many people to send advertising to. I don't think they work as far as getting signups. One safelist I belong to, which is a large very well known one, sends me a lot of ads but it always the same old stuff over and over. I normally just delete them all. Occasionally I will see an ad I have now seen before. Lots of time it is the same ad with a different title. In the long run as far as making money and getting signups for affiliate programs I do not think they work.

Good subject. Keep it up.

Does Free Safelist Work? I've just recently gotten into safelists, ... yes free safelist works if there are other lots of free members there. The answer would depend on how you are using them. ...I have joined a number of free safelist, but i feel that it doesn't really help much. ...

It is worth another comment about safelists. I do use them and they do really work but not the way people want them to. They require work real work and time you need to learn the best times to mail. People will join one with 300 members and send to the list 2 or 3 times get no response and say they don't work.

I have 500 safelists that I send to about 3 times a week every week and yes they do work. They average about 300 members per list. Most people will need to see your (subject line) about 11 times before they decide to read it. To do that takes work and time my advise is put in the work and time and you will get a return. Without it the safelists are not going to work for you.

Best regards,
Dave

Safelists help get your website listed in the search engines, I would say to some degree that they do work, but it is not my favorite way to post ads, since you can get so many emails at once in your inbox, most ads get deleted if not read right away, so it is important to post daily.
