Kelly Blue Book, www.kbb.com, will give you a trade in value, and a retail value for a specific vehicle with special value and specific condition in your area. There are other sites to double check these values with as well. Look at as many as you can find. These sites also feature a "private party" value which represents what someone might expect to receive selling their own vehicle. This value is normally less that dealer retail price, because private individuals are usually just trying to beat the value that they would receive if they traded their vehicle to a dealer. After becoming an expert in these values, you must set an objective for yourself and try to achieve it.
