- Married to Bill ( a retired fire fighter). Along with Bill, there is Roscoe, great dane/pointer mix, Chandler, a grey tabby, and turtle.
I have been a construction superintendent for over 20 years - was fortunate to travel and build all over the US. After moving here to NC in 7/2006, I decided to pursue my hobbies as a home based business.
I had always done ceramics out of the house and had a ceramic shop in Lakewood, OH were I grew up. I also taught ceramics at the local senior center in Lakewood, as well as teaching a few jewelry classes at the local high schools through their adult ed classes. I also held an annual class project at St. James church in Lakewood. The students along with their parents painted a challis cup for them to use on their First Communion. This project lasted for 10 years.
Then the light bulb went off down here and I decided to add candles to the ceramic business. I thought I could make my own candles, but after much researching I found the Mia Bella Scent-Sations Company. My reasoning for going with this company was that: 1. the product is awesome - currently over 100 scents to choose, 2.) company support is endless - meaning the owners are real, and readily available whenever, plus my upline are awesome ladies who are there to answer my endless questions, 3.) flexibility with the product - yes I can do flea markets, craft shows, consignments, fundraise as well as build a team whether local or across the US and Canada. IF they ever go international -I'm in like flint in India and UAE.
