Those who have "mastered" the art of online marketing typically use tools of the trade: autoresponders, lead pages, list generators, etc... This all can be done to simplify the job. But what of those people who are just learning or have signed up for an online business opportunity and have little to no experience? Or have not been successful in getting their business off the ground? All of the tools and information can be hugley overwhelming, not to mention confusing!
Although I've been online since '96, with a recent two year 'vacation,' I was one of those people who tried several times to generate an income online, only to spend lots of money on tools, etc and earn very little in return. I was definetly overwhelmed and confused yet continued to pour my monies into the business of choice. What I realized eventually...was that I lacked a daily plan. Instead of spending hours reading advertisments & promises that the next $29 flavor of the month tool would make me a success it became clear to organize my time; Time spent being productive towards my business and not just that of "busy" work.
Here is what I do on a daily basis for my online business. In the spirit of sharing, you won't find I've included any links for tools....I do use some...this is just a simple outline:
Posting to Blogs, Forums - 2hrs per day
Reading/Studying Training Material supplied by my preferred company of choice - 2 hrs per day
Sending out and replying to 25-50 e-mails - 15/30 minutes per day
Communicating with and assisting my team - time varies (avrg. 1 hour per day)
Generating new leads: offline and online - 30 minutes per day
And that's it...5 days a week. I used to spend 12 hours at a time...most of it unproductive...the interent can certainly get you lost in time! So, if your talent doesn't include the gift of organization...make it simple for yourself. Pick 5 activities that you know or want to learn and implement...learn them and simply do them daily.
To Our Success!
With that...I'm off to walk the dogs.
