Don't promote a product, promote yourself!!
If you are surprised by this statement, I understand. It is hard to get across this idea of not promoting a product, but helping everyone by just being yourself. It is what everyone wants to see (no one likes to be pitched) but hard to do because everyone thinks - what I am doing is so wonderful, I will just tell people about it and they will just jump at the chance!! The thing is, people need to know you, like you and trust you before they will do business with you...and just pitching them will turn them off. So show people who you are and that you are interested in getting to know them as well, and you will be able to show them what you do that is working successfully for you.
My tip for the day is - find FREE advertising resources. There are SO many out there, it is the BEST place for newbies to start!! Myspace, Zenzuu, MOS - these are all examples of free social networking sites. LeadsLeap, ASD Cash Generator, Backpage - these are places you can advertise your businesses for free and get lots of exposure, and make the most of them!
Find a mentor - someone who will answer your questions and help you with ideas - and then you can move forward. Indecision is the hardest place to be - set your mind in the direction of success, and take some ACTION - then you will be on your way! :)
