Builder99 says, I don't run out and join a new program or website just because someone tries to convince me that it is the latest and the greatest.
However, if I have good reason to believe that something new offers good value then I am more than willing to give it a try. A case in point is the
Weebly website builder. I had not even heard of Weebly until last month.
Took a look at a few Weebly sites which other people had created and decided it should be worth my time and effort. By reading the site help files I was able to get a good understanding of how the site builder works. Found it easy to revise a page and make any necessary corrections to the links, etc.
My first few days of working with Weebly went very well. I was pleased with my efforts and felt that the end result was in line with my expectations. As well as creating several pages, it also offers the choice to make one page a blog page. The blog page can become your home page simply by dragging it to the top of the list of all pages while inside the editing mode.
Had some problems today with one of the modules (or page elements) not working properly for me. Instead of a normal paragraph element I wanted to use the Custom HTML element so I could create my own html code for inserting banners and buttons. After several unsuccessful attempts, I went to the help page and found my solution.
Just had to clear my computer cache by hitting the browser refresh icon while holding down the Shift key. The website builder re-loaded and things went much more smoothly. The Custom HTML element was inserted into my page and accepted the code I wanted to use.
Still many more pages to create over the next little while. It will take several weeks to get it looking the way I like. But I know it can be published one page at a time. I can work on the draft of a new page and only publish that page when it is ready.
